Qualifications : Masters in atmospheric sciences, meteorology, oceanography, remote sensing or related subjects.
Desirable : Working experience with GCMs or RCMs and model data analysis; Parallel programming (i.e. OpenMP, MPI) Knowledge of various file formats (i.e. NetCDF, HDF etc.); nowledge of tools for transformation and manipulation of climate data (i.e. NCO and CDO); Knowledge of visualization tools (i.e. NCL, GrADS, Ferret, Matlab etc.) Technical Skills required: Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems; Knowledge of script languages (i.e. UNIX shell, Perl, Python); Knowledge of programming languages (i.e. Fortran, C); and parallel programming (i.e. OpenMP, MPI).
