Jobs Details :- Indian Air Force invites application from UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS (citizens of Nepal are also eligible) for selection test in August 2013 to join as Airmen in Group „X‟ (Technical) trades.
(THE SELECTION TEST IS NOT FOR SELECTION AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS/ PILOTS/ NAVIGATORS).

1-Post Name : Group „X‟ (Technical) trades

• Qualifications : Intermediate or 10+2 or Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks. OR Three years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks.
• Age Limit : Born between 01 September 1993 and 30 December 1996 (both date inclusive).
• Pay Scale : During training, a stipend of Rs. 8,550/-per month will be paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Dearness Allowance (DA), for Group „X‟ (Technical) trades will be Rs. 21,414/- per month (approximately), which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 37,788/- per month (approximately) depending upon the rank attained.

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will be sent Admit Cards to appear for the test during the month of July 2013 at the examination centres listed at Para 20. Candidates will be tested in English, Physics and Mathematics as per CBSE syllabus of AISSCE. Question papers will be objective type and bilingual (English & Hindi), except English Paper. Duration of Written Test will be 60 minutes. CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day.

Training : Initial Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) will be provided at Airmen Training School, Belgaum (Karnataka) for 12 weeks. After it Trade Training will be provided.

How to Apply : Candidate must indicate three choices of the examination centre in order of preference. Application form which is predefined should be typed on A4 size paper only.
